The Alasia name (and label design) is taken from the legend of the Medieval Princess Alasia who eloped with a young Saxon knight and hid out in the Monferrato region. The remains of the Ca' d'Alasia (where they allegedly lived) is situated near Castel Boglione. A modern elegant Gavi - textural, concentrated and food-friendly.

Production

The Cortese grapes are sourced from vineyards in the Gavi region, with limestone-clay soils. Grapes are hand harvested typically in the last week of September. The wine undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel.
