The dry winter and heat spikes through the summer growing season have produced a wine with incredible depth and concentration of fruit flavours. The Shiraz grapes are from the "Bobbie Burns" vineyard in Rutherglen.

Production

After fermentation on skins for seven to ten days using open hand plunged vats and closed fermenters, this wine was subsequently aged for a period of 18 months in a mixture of new to three year old premium French and American barrels.

  • Tasting notes

Deep ruby red, crimson tints. The nose is full and lifted, brimming with black plums, complexed with star anise, dark chocolate and soft vanillin oak. On the palate this is a powerful wine, exploding with flavour of summer pudding, blackberries and spiced plums. Smooth and seamless, supported by subtle French oak and vibrant silky tannins to finish.
