Production

Marcel Seinsevin joined the winery in 1935. Daniel, his son, bought the then 4 hectare Château La Garenne in 1969. After buying more land and planting vines, the estate now extends over 18 hectares of argilo-calcaire soil and it is farmed in a sustainable manner, certified under the Agri Confiance scheme. The wine is made in a traditional Bordeaux style, with each of the grape varieties fermented separately at 30°C in thermo-regulated, stainless steel tanks equipped with a micro-oxygenation system to soften the tannins.

  • Tasting notes

Dark berry fruit and earthy, tobacco aromas mingle with a subtle minty, herbal element. Bright, juicy and fruity, the structure doesn't overwhelm as all too often it can in Bordeaux.

  • Food match

A great pairing with bloomy-rind cheeses such as Brie or Camembert.
