‘El Viejo del Valle’ or ‘The Old Man of the Valley’ celebrates the 1950s Chilean street graffiti. This range is an exciting find from the depths of Chile.
Production
Our Pinot Noir comes from a small Hacienda in The Andes where the 40-60 years old vines enjoy stony soils, glacial streams and pure mountain air. Grapes are harvested during the coolest part of the day to ensure they reach the winery in prime condition. Temperatures are kept fairly low throughout the winemaking process, to allow the grapes to express their natural fruit characters. 15% of the wine is barrel fermented.

Tasting notes
An exciting find from the depths of Chile. Deliciously long, bright, textural Pinot from cold, stony vineyards deep in the Central Valley's old glacial riverbeds. Summer fruits of red currant, raspberry and wild strawberries on the nose follow through to a juicy palate. A touch of oak adds spice complexity.
Food match
Try with finger-licking marinated ribs, pink lamb and roasted veggies, mushroom and chicken risotto.
