Bright and refreshing Albariño from this estate in Salnés Valley, Rias Baixas.
Production
The grapes are sourced from pergola-trained Albariño vines, cultivated in sandy soils in the Salnés Valley. They are selected in the vineyard and hand-harvested into 20kg crates, then further sorted at the winery. The destemmed grapes are pressed, and fermentation takes place for around 15 days at 16-18ºC using wild yeasts. Partial malolactic fermenatation occurs, again with naturally-occuring yeasts.

Meet the producer
Condes de Albarei was established in 1988 by a group of growers from the Salnés Valley, who were focused on top-quality Albariño wines.
Salnés Valley is one of the five sub-zones of Rias Baixas and has the DO's greatest area of vines. It has an Atlantic climate and high rainfall, with poor sandy soils that are ideal for cultivating Albariño. The winery is situated within 1 km of the coast.
